Lessons at Synchrony Farm
Julie's blend of knowledge from the Dressage and Western world, and in particular her knowledge of Buck Brannaman's natural horsemanship techniques, provided me with a fantastic riding foundation. She has an uncanny eye for detail, which serves her students well because she catches those little nuances that make you a better rider. You will enjoy enhancing your riding skills at Synchrony Farm with Julie.

Lessons vary in size from private to small group and vary in length depending on the type of lesson. Lounge lessons are also available.
Synchrony farm does have school horses for the equineless and leases are an option for those taking lessons.
Ground work lessons are done either from a Dressage perspective which can include lounging and in-hand work or from a Vaquero perspective in which ground work can be a stepping stone to projects such as a horse's first ride, preparation for trailer loading, standing for baths, or the vet or the farrier, dealing with problems such as crookedness under saddle, or dealing with scary objects. The combination of Dressage and Vaquero ground work gives a unique and practical foundation that facilitates communication between horses and their people.
Common skills practiced during lessons include how to relax a horse when it becomes tight, how to focus a horse whose attention has gone elsewhere, how to deal with scary objects and circumstances with confidence and ease, how to balance a horse in all three gaits as well as in transitions and how to successfully navigate in busy traffic situations.
Some upper level school horses are available to help advance riders who aspire to work at a level above their current one.
